What is Ledger Live?

How to Install Ledger Live

1. Go to the official Ledger website: www.ledger.com.
2. Click “Ledger Live” in the top menu or go directly to ledger.com/ledger-live.
3. Choose your operating system: Windows, macOS, or Linux.
4. Download and run the installer.
5. Follow on-screen instructions to complete installation.

Initial Setup Process

1. Connect your Ledger device: Plug in your Ledger Nano device using the provided USB cable.
2. Set up your device: Follow the instructions on the device to create a PIN and generate your 24-word recovery phrase. This phrase is the only way to recover your wallet.
3. Open Ledger Live: Launch the app and select "Set up a new device" or "Restore device from recovery phrase."

• Use a PIN code that is not easily guessable.

Common Issues & Troubleshooting

Device not recognized? Try using another USB port, cable, or computer. Also ensure Ledger Live is updated.

PIN locked out? After 3 incorrect PIN attempts, the device will reset. You’ll need your recovery phrase to restore access.

Missing crypto balance? Ensure the correct app is installed and account is added inside Ledger Live.

Can't connect on Linux? You may need to set up udev rules (Ledger provides a guide for this).

Advanced Features
